How To Create a Bio

Thank you for creating a Bio on Self Made World. In the spirit of facilitating community, we encourage everyone to create a Bio's for themselves and others. The Bio you create here will be instantly viewable and editable by anyone on this site (as is all content on Self Made World). If you have questions, comments, or concerns about this process, please send us an email.

1. Upload a photo using the Upload file link on the left hand navigation bar of any page. Be sure to remember the Destination filename of the photo that you upload (eg 'my_photo.jpg'). Please note that you are required to create an account in order to upload a photo.
2. Copy the text in the box below (eg using Control-C on your keyboard). This is known as the Wiki Template for your Self Made World Bio. You will be pasting this into your new Bio in step 4 below.

3. Type "<First Name> <Last Name>" (eg "Graham Lawlor") into the search box on the left side of any page and click Go. Assuming there is no Bio with this name already, you will see a page that says There is no page titled "Graham Lawlor". You can create this page. Click to create the page.
4. Paste the Bio template (from step 2 above) into the text box provided. Type the value of each paramater directly after each = sign of the template in the Edit box.
5. Click Save page at the bottom of the edit page. The Bio is now live!
